UNDERDOGS ON TOP, PODCAST
The show debuts in July and gives us a chance to speak with and listen to people who have overcome tremendous disadvantages and hardships to still win in life.
We learn what it was like in their darkest moments when they felt all was lost and they share with us how they found the strength and will to persevere.
Many of us are underdogs, on this show we listen to some others as they share their secrets on how they crushed barriers and broke loose of their demons to dominate the game of life.
My formative years where spent in the ghettos of Trench Town, Jamaica. My father was a notorious drug lord. I was raised by my single mom. I had no male role models in my life. Stereotypically, I had every reason to fail. Instead I have managed to navigate the pitfalls and rose up to become first, a respected television journalist and subsequently a lawyer who's client list has included Pulitzer prize winning writers, televisions stars and professional sports leagues. My focus now is on giving back, through my books, through my speeches and now through the new podcast Underdogs on Top and the accompanying online Facebook group. The goal of the group is to provide support, information and a community of people, some of whom like myself, came from challenging backgrounds and now want to give back to others who may need help and guidance to figure out life. To know they are not alone. To be inspired.
My goal is to help people around the world overcome their limiting beliefs. Further, it is my hope that through the podcast and the online community, we can bridge some gaps, provide some answers for people and help them rewrite their history and create their own stories and pathways to success.
My journey is ongoing and what I have learned is no one does it alone and while each individual is different, a lot of the struggles we face, others have already been through. I certainly will never pretend to have all the answers, but I think by leveraging a diverse and invested online community, we can provide a great service.
Answering questions on relationships, parenting, goal setting, health and wellness, life...
